Celebrating 14 Years of Excellence: Envisage Promotions As Envisage Promotions proudly celebrates its 14th anniversary,…
We’re Proud To Support 8 Below Husky Rescue!
We love pets at Envisage, especially dogs! Our staff also love working with dogs and we’ve worked regularly with numerous clients at Crufts.
Dog charities in particular hold a special place in our hearts as our own office dog was a rescue adopted from The Dog’s Trust back in March 2014. Kira is a “Huskita” (a cross between a Siberian Husky and an Akita) and a valued member of the Envisage team who spends most of her day either snoozing or announcing the arrival of an office delivery! To champion Kira’s heritage, Envisage are proud to announce that we are supporting the 8 Below Husky Rescue charity.
Who Are 8 Below?
Set up in 2013, 8 Below Husky Rescue are a registered charity who are dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming of northern sled-dog breeds such as Huskies, Akitas, Malamutes (and any sled-dog cross breeds). Their motto is “Educate, Rescue, Rehome – Giving Snow Dogs A Forever Home”
What Do 8 Below Husky Rescue Do?
8 Below follow the three-pronged approach from their motto. Firstly, they seek to educate and support owners via online forums and a network of dedicated nationwide volunteers – their goal being to ensure new /existing owners fully understand the breed’s unique requirements to prevent and minimize the number of sled dogs that need rehoming in the first instance.
Sadly, there will always be dogs who are unwanted, abandoned or worse abused. The charity will work with owners, stray dog kennels as well as national dog rescue charities to identify sled-dogs that need help and bringing into their care. Once rescued, the dog will undergo assessments and be neutered, microchipped and vaccinated (dependent on individual age and health).
Finally, new homes are selected following an extensive vetting process and matching each individual dog’s requirements to their new forever home.
