get in shape for summer tipsTips for staying fit this Summer!

Everyone has a mad rush when we all realise how close our holidays are actually approaching us, leaving too little time to get fit for our summer holidays. Here are a few tips that may help your last minute body preparations…

The number one rule for getting fit and maintaining the healthy look on your body is sleep. It may seem too simple for you to lose weight and stay fit however sleep aids in keeping your self-motivated, maintaining high concentration levels and lowering your cravings.

Don’t diet, just eat more! Yes, eat more. There are foods out there that help lose weight, increase metabolism and make you feel fuller for longer. Avocados, plenty of vitamins and help your skin moist and supple. Blackcurrants and blueberries, huge amounts of vitamin C which will help fight the nasty bugs and improve your immune system. Tomatoes, no matter how brainy you are, tomatoes are a great source of lipoic acid which helps your energy levels and improves your brain power. Don’t eat too much more…no chips, sausages or doughnuts.

Done forget to eat

Eat breakfast, it’s not a myth, it is the most important meal of the day. It packs your body full of energy packed food to ensure that you will have the motivation to achieve your goals that day. It will also keep you fuller for longer, so don’t skip breakfast to save some calories for later, as you are more likely to want to fill up and overfill later.

Tap in to water power, our bodies is made up between 50% and 70% water, if drops by 2% the effects of dehydration will become noticeable. Water in the body has loads of jobs to ensure the body runs smoothly, drinking 6 to 7 glasses a day will ensure that the body will function properly. What good is it doing? Loads. It helps the kidneys clear out toxins from the blood, keeps you focused, keeps blood pumping and maintains a good heart rate, helps digestion and aids in breakdown of the foods you eat. Most importantly, it will keep you feeling full so you won’t have much of an appetite.

Regular exercise, you don’t have to go to a gym to do exercise. Start walking to the shop, cycling to work or take the stairs not a lift. There are many ways you can start to keep fit without paying.
