Providing Staff at the NEC for the Friends Experience

The Friends Experience at the NEC in Birmingham is an immersive and nostalgic journey into the iconic TV show “Friends.” As fans step into the recreated sets of Monica’s apartment, Central Perk, and other beloved locations, they are transported into the world of Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey, and Phoebe. Visitors can relive their favourite moments from the show, pose for photos on the famous orange couch, explore authentic props, and enjoy interactive experiences that allow them to be a part of the Friends’ gang. From sipping coffee at Central Perk to playing foosball with Joey, the Friends Experience offers an unforgettable trip down memory lane for both dedicated fans and newcomers alike.

The company who are managing the Friends Experience we have been working with for various projects for over six years.  They needed to work with a staffing agency they trusted but also had the staff they needed.  They had many requirements including :-

Exhibition Area

– Queue management, ensuring people are going through each stage of the experience in a timed manner
– Scanning tickets, exchanging for wristbands or VIP lanyards
– Scanning QR tickets for photo ops around the experience
– Taking pictures for customers

Retail Area

– Stockroom management, re stocking shelfs.
– Tills, taking card payments
– Issuing print out of photos throughout the experience

Our job was simply to make the Friends Experience run smoothly.  The Friends Experience is a dream come true for fans so from the moment they arrive at the exhibition our job was to make sure they had the most memorable time.  Our team on the ground had to make sure  that every visitor has a top-notch experience whilst ensuring they created an atmosphere that mirrors the warmth and familiarity of the show.
