How emotions affect your trade show!
A lot of trade show exhibitors’ trip over their own laces with their approach to trade shows and exhibitions. They do this by looking only at their own sales perspective and not of their potential customers and clients. A lot of decisions and purchases are made upon emotions, according to studies 95% of purchasing decisions are made unconsciously which is heavily affected by emotions.
Have you thought about the perspective of your customers?
Have you put yourself in your customers shoes? It’s important to walk through your stand and the experience they will be receiving during the trade show. This will help you effectively design and plan your stand; such has layout, lighting, promotional material, and face-to-face interaction. Further studies have shown 80% of people say they were influenced by live demonstrations or product sampling, which is something you will also want to consider.
You need the right staff power!
The main ingredient which ties all your planning and designing together is having the correct staff member on your stand. Having people who are approachable, empathetic, and great communication skills can really seal the deal. Though, what should you look for in staff you ask?
1. Outgoing and energy – They must be confident in their body and verbal language. This makes them more approachable and able to hold their guest’s attention.
2. High work ethic – The staff can be on their feet for long periods of time, it’s important that they have a goof work ethic to keep up good emotions and shrug off any bad responses.
3. Empathetic views – The more the staff buy into what you are selling/showing then the easier it is for them to really reach out to guests.
We have many staff as described above, also having the relevant experience and skills to tick all your boxes. There are many positions that you may want to consider adding to your trade show experience too, such as refreshments, costume performers and event staff.
