As an icon for the movie industry, the Hollywood sign sits high above Los Angeles and is known worldwide. Though this creation was not created for the movie industry, this sign was created as a PR stunt from a retail property developer, looking to increase the interest in the LA district. The 45-foot capital letter sign has really put LA on the map, featuring in major films and becoming the home for the movie industry.
Jeff Goldblum statue by London Bridge
This statue being another iconic piece of art from the movie industry, located near London bridge and standing at over 9.8 feet tall – the statue attracts tourists from all over the world and not to mention the media coverage it invited during it’s big reveal.
It is designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, depicting the actor Jeff Goldblum who is one of the movies stars.
Vegan Rock’n’Roll – Greggs Vegan Sausage Roll
Veganism is as big as it has ever been, and Greggs was one of the first large corporations to reinvent their products to accommodate for the vegan population. As part of their product launch, they designed an audacious PR stunt, they devised a plan to send journalists and influencers their new Vegan sausage roll in packaging which resembled the latest iPhone, rather than their pasty paper bag.
The stunt created a storm throughout social media platforms, gaining lots of engagements and comments, including judgments from high-end celebrities and Gregg’s social media team also adding fuel to the fire with their sharp-witted comments.
Probably not the best beer in the world – Carlsberg’s Strapline
As many beer loving pundits will recognise from years Carlsberg’s notorious advertising, they proclaimed that they were ‘Probably the best beer in the world’. Though this all changed in April 2019 when Carlberg was under the collar from other competitors such as Coors and Amstel. The beer brand reinvented their strapline to have “not” cleverly placed into their strapline taking positive steps to improve their brand image with some self-reflection.
