Envisage Supports The Rugby Foodbank

During the later stages of 2018 and throughout 2019, our team have chosen to support the Rugby Foodbank.

Our team have arranged to collect food, toiletries and Christmas items for the Rugby Foodbank who provide emergency food parcels to people in crisis. The foodbank provides three days of nutritionally balanced, non-perishable food.

During November and December, we have been running a food drive of general food items, toiletries and Christmas items to enable families to receive from the foodbank a three day food parcel. We will also during 2019 run food drives and collections for Easter, in the run up to the six weeks holidays (to help families who find this time a particular challenge to due to the additional food items required to feed the family that during term time would be entitled to free school meals) and for Harvest Festival.

The statistics below are quite eye opening. Families and individuals can find themselves needing help from the Rugby Foodbank for many reasons, ranging from redundancy, an unexpected bill, family breakdowns and health problems.

Supplies needed

1 IN 5 – of the UK population live below the poverty line

• Toilet roll
• Tinned food including Carrots (tinned), Meat (Pies, Ham, etc.),
• Milk (Dried)
• Toothbrushes
• Fruit Juice (Long Life)
• Sanitary towels and tampons
• Tin openers
• Nappies & Baby wipes
• Toiletries – male and female
• Baby food
• Marmalade / Jam
• Pasta Sauce
