Eager to try out a special new item on the McDonald’s menu, a group of competition winners were looking forward to participating in an exclusive preview. It turned out to be even more spectacular an experience than they could ever have expected.
A celebrity guest had also been invited, adding interest and laughter to the occasion as reality TV star Rylan Clark demanded more please while enjoying a Chicken Big Mac!
McDonald’s were filming the event, creating content that could be shared on the McDonalds & talent social channels as well as with the media. To add extra interest, Envisage provided more than 20 background extra’s to create a queue forming outside the restaurant, before joining the fun inside. Their excitement was clear, as they eagerly tried to guess just what special, limited edition food was being introduced to the McDonalds menu.

We chose our extras carefully, making sure that everyone was happy with being visible on social media as well as – most importantly – being keen fans of McDonalds. All the extras were definitely eager being among the first to try this new limited edition item on the McDonald’s menu.
Entitled the ‘Big Chicken Mac returns’ the film showed people laughing, joking, eating and drinking while being entertained by Rylan Clark as he handed out food, chatted and naturally – eating a Big Chicken Mac.
Our team of extras had a fantastic time as they helped to create the laughing, happy atmosphere of hungry diners enjoying the food and entertainment. For the competition winners, the presence of the extras brought in a special red carpet ambiance making their day extra special.
For McDonalds, it was a total success in every way. The film attracted attention across all forms of social media and in both national and regional newspapers – and demand for the new limited edition Big Chicken Mac rose dramatically from day one. Diners simply could not get enough of it!
So pleased were McDonalds with the film and the work of our extras, that they quickly rebooked Envisage to undertake more events relating to future projects on their social media. Equally pleased were the extras – who are looking forward to participating in more McDonalds promotional activities.
