Hired Event staff for a Christmas VR experience

The Brief – To assist in heavy lifting of equipment and demonstrating the Virtual Reality headset for the children in a school.  Our client supplies equipment and technical for events such as conferences, exhibitions, gaming events, corporate parties, and weddings.

The Goal – To ensure the festive spirit is spread across the school just in time for Christmas and to move the equipment efficiently.

How did the event setting up go?

On the day one of our event staff met the technician from Blue hire in the early morning. They both had to assess the area to see how they could fit the equipment in the building, there was multiple TV’s, a big wooden sleigh for the Virtual Reality Christmas experience and many Christmas decorations. Heavy lifting was involved.

We helped set up all the equipment to make the day magical for the children in the school.

Once everything was set up the children took it in turns through year group and in groups of 10 to come down to the hall and try the virtual experience! The VR ran a “Santa simulator” which was a rollercoaster ride with Santa delivering all the presents through the universe before the night of Christmas. Our event staff had to demonstrate how to use the VR whilst in the sleigh for the children to have the full experience.

Our event staff were engaging with the children and teachers to ensure that everybody had a festive and positive day!
